Product Overview:

Modern material research often requires a furnace that delivers accurate temperature control without occupying valuable laboratory space. Traditional tube furnaces are often oversized for small-scale experiments, making them less efficient for routine thermal processing, catalyst preparation, battery material research, or oxygen-sensitive sample treatment.

The GSL-1000X-S Small tube furnace is specifically designed for laboratories that require a compact, high-performance heating solution. With a maximum temperature of 1000°C, a 20 mm quartz tube, programmable PID temperature control, and optional vacuum operation, it provides stable thermal processing for universities, research institutes, industrial laboratories, and R&D centers.

Its compact split-body structure allows the furnace to be positioned horizontally or vertically and even integrated into glove box systems after electrical modification, making it an excellent choice for air-sensitive materials and advanced laboratory research.

Precautions

• The gas pressure inside the quartz tube must not exceed 0.02MPa (relative pressure).

• Due to the high internal pressure of the gas cylinder, a pressure reducing valve must be installed on the gas cylinder when introducing gas into the quartz tube. For safety, it is recommended to use a pressure below 0.02MPa. It is recommended to purchase a pressure reducing valve from our company; our pressure reducing valves have a range of 0.01MPa-0.1MPa, providing more precise and safer operation.

• For experiments involving sample heating, it is not recommended to close the exhaust and inlet valves at the furnace tube flange end. If it is necessary to shut off the gas valve to heat the sample, the pressure gauge reading must be monitored constantly. If the pressure gauge reading exceeds 0.02 MPa, the vent valve must be opened immediately to prevent accidents (such as furnace tube rupture, flange ejection, etc.).

We do not recommend customers use flammable, explosive, or toxic gases. If the customer's process necessitates the use of flammable, explosive, or toxic gases, the customer must take appropriate protective and explosion-proof measures. Our company is not responsible for any problems caused by the use of flammable, explosive, or toxic gases.

Product Features:

Compact Design for Space-Conscious Laboratories:

Laboratory space is often limited, especially in universities, research institutes, and R&D centers where multiple analytical instruments share the same workspace. The GSL-1000X-S Miniature lab professional split tube furnace features an ultra-compact design that occupies minimal bench space without compromising heating performance.

Its lightweight construction makes installation and relocation simple, allowing researchers to quickly integrate the furnace into existing laboratory setups. The compact footprint also makes it an excellent choice for pilot experiments, material screening, and small-batch thermal processing where larger furnaces would be unnecessary.

Whether used as a dedicated research furnace or as part of a multi-equipment laboratory system, this compact tube furnace provides an efficient solution for laboratories looking to maximize available workspace.

Flexible Horizontal or Vertical Operation:

Different thermal processes require different furnace orientations. Unlike conventional laboratory lab professional split tube furnaces that operate only in a horizontal position, the GSL-1000X-S can be installed either horizontally or vertically according to experimental requirements.

Vertical operation is particularly useful for gravity-assisted experiments, catalyst preparation, and powder processing, while horizontal placement is ideal for general heat treatment, CVD processing, gas analysis, and material sintering.

This flexible installation design allows one furnace to support multiple laboratory applications without requiring additional equipment.

Ready for Vacuum and Controlled Atmosphere Processing:

Many advanced material research projects require oxygen-free or controlled atmosphere conditions during heat treatment. The furnace comes equipped with a high-purity quartz tube and stainless steel vacuum sealing flanges, allowing users to perform experiments under vacuum or protective gas environments.

The standard KF25 vacuum interface simplifies connection with mechanical pumps or optional turbo molecular pumping systems. Researchers can introduce inert gases such as argon or nitrogen to reduce oxidation and improve processing consistency for sensitive materials.

This capability makes the furnace suitable for vacuum annealing, material synthesis, catalyst activation, and laboratory-scale atmosphere processing.

High-Purity Quartz Tube for Stable Thermal Processing:

The standard furnace tube is manufactured from high-purity quartz, providing excellent thermal stability, chemical resistance, and low contamination during heating.

The quartz tube measures 20 mm outer diameter, 17 mm inner diameter, and 192 mm in length, making it suitable for small sample preparation and precision laboratory experiments. During operation, alumina fiber tube plugs help minimize heat loss while improving temperature uniformity inside the heating zone.

For laboratories working with sensitive materials, the clean quartz environment helps maintain experimental consistency throughout repeated heating cycles.

Accurate Programmable Temperature Control:

Stable temperature control is one of the most important factors affecting experimental repeatability. The GSL-1000X-S Laboratory tube furnace is equipped with a programmable PID controller that automatically adjusts heating output to maintain accurate temperature regulation throughout the entire process.

Users can create up to 30 programmable heating and cooling segments, allowing complex thermal profiles to be completed automatically without manual intervention. This significantly improves experimental repeatability while reducing operator workload.

The system supports smooth heating ramps, controlled holding times, and automatic cooling sequences for a wide variety of laboratory research applications.

Reliable Heating Performance up to 1000°C:

The furnace reaches a maximum temperature of 1000°C for short-term processing and maintains a recommended continuous working temperature of 900°C for long-term operation.

A high-efficiency Fe-Cr-Al alloy heating element provides rapid heating, excellent thermal stability, and long service life. Combined with high-performance insulation materials, heat is concentrated inside the heating chamber while minimizing energy loss to the surrounding environment.

This combination delivers reliable thermal performance for everyday laboratory research without excessive power consumption.

Built-in Safety Protection for Laboratory Operation:

Safety is essential during high-temperature laboratory experiments. The furnace incorporates multiple protection functions to improve operational stability  and protect both the equipment and laboratory personnel.
