The STX-202A Geological thin section material analysis cutting system is designed for rock sample processing in the geological industry. It is an auxiliary device for rock sample processing using our STX-202A Diamond wire cutting machine. Due to the varying densities of rocks, thin section processing often encounters many difficulties, necessitating a device that can stably fix the sample and cut it. 


The STX-202A geological research cutting system uses an oil-free vacuum pump connected to a filtration vessel and a vacuum chuck to adsorb geological thin-section samples. The thin sections adhering to the glass slide are vertically adsorbed by the vacuum chuck, which prevents the sample from breaking due to stress from direct adsorption, and also prevents the sample from breaking after cutting if it is too loose. It is then much easier to cut the thin sections to the required thickness using finer diamond wire.
