Product Introduction:
Polyurethane (PU) polishing pads are primarily designed for use with our UNIPOL series grinding and polishing machines for polishing samples. They can be manufactured in circular shapes of varying diameters, depending on the machine model. The pads have self-adhesive backing, allowing direct application to the grinding/polishing substrate.
Polyurethane polishing pads for sapphire polishing are available in two types: flat and grooved. The flat yellow polyurethane polishing pads have numerous small holes on their surface, serving the same function as the grooves on the grooved pads—primarily to hold a small amount of polishing fluid to ensure smooth polishing.
PU polishing pads are mainly used for rough polishing of various materials, especially hard and brittle materials such as glass, ceramics, gemstones, and cemented carbide.
