What is the Difference Between Compact Split Tube Furnace and Muffle Furnace?

Because the heating cavity of the muffle furnace is large and can process multiple samples at once, it is also widely used in industrial production.

2. Heating method: compact split tube furnace indirectly heats the sample through a heating tube, which allows the heat to be evenly distributed and the temperature to be accurately controlled. The heating area of the sample placed in the tube is small, which is more suitable for experiments with small batches of samples. The Muffle furnace directly heats the cavity. Because the cavity has a large space and the sample is heated in the cavity, it is suitable for processing multiple samples at once, but the temperature uniformity is not as good as that of the compact split tube furnace.

3. Atmosphere control: compact split tube furnace has great advantages in precise temperature control and atmosphere management. The tube furnace can pass gas through the tube for inert gas annealing, oxidation or reduction processes. The muffle furnace can usually only be operated in an air environment and can only be calcined by air.
