Shenyang Kejing Participates in the 4th National Refractory Metals and Hard Alloys Technology Symposium
2025-08-25 16:36The "4th National Refractory Metals and Hard Alloys Technology Symposium" was successfully held in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province from August 15-17, 2025. The conference, jointly organized by several research institutions and universities, focused on various refractory metals and hard alloys, including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, and niobium. The discussions covered their applications in high-temperature alloy steel, hard alloys, semiconductors, magnetic materials, and other fields, with a focus on key technologies such as grain refinement and new material development. With the core objective of "strengthening information exchange and addressing industry hotspots and challenges," the conference aimed to promote technological progress, help solve current industry issues, and facilitate high-quality development and industry-academia collaboration.
Refractory metals and hard alloy materials, due to their unique properties, occupy an irreplaceable position in various sectors of the national economy and in the development of modern technology. From high-temperature components in aerospace engines to precision equipment in semiconductor manufacturing; from wear-resistant tools for deep-earth and deep-sea drilling to core materials for new energy batteries, refractory metals and hard alloys, with their excellent high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high strength, support the development of major national projects and high-end equipment.
This conference featured over 50 academic presentations from more than 120 participants in the fields of refractory metal research and preparation; production and processing of refractory metal powders; preparation of ultrafine and nanopowders; preparation of hard alloys and cermets; surface engineering and applications; modeling, characterization, and testing; and new refractory metals, hard materials, and coatings. The aim was to deepen the achievements of the previous three forums, focusing on the strategic resources, critical metals, energy, and environmental constraints faced by the refractory metals and hard alloys field under the national "dual carbon" strategy, and actively explore technological breakthroughs and industrial upgrading paths.

Shenyang Kejing's high-vacuum arc melting furnace, whose electrodes are made of high-melting-point materials such as tungsten, is essentially not consumed during the melting process. It can rotate the alloy ingot for multiple melting cycles without damaging the protective gas atmosphere, and can be used for both metal melting and metal melting and casting. This furnace is ideal for melting refractory metals, with a maximum melting temperature of up to 3500°C. It features a compact design, requiring minimal space, and is easy to operate, requiring no specialized personnel or skills. The enclosed operation ensures safety for users and prevents environmental pollution. Sample preparation is rapid, and it is currently widely used in laboratory research for studying and manufacturing refractory metal and alloy samples.
